Caregiver HR Info

Caregiving is one of the most rewarding but hardest jobs there is. We wish we could pay WAY more than we do. You, our caregivers, are worth it. Instead, we try to make ours the best agency in the area to work with. Below is information about various HR items, payroll schedule, accrued time off, loaner cars, etc.  If you have any questions, call David or Emily Lovely at the office.

Payroll Schedule

We are switching to paying twice per month (24X) rather than every other week (26X).

Accrued Time

Caregivers earn 2 hours of accrued time for every 40 hours worked. The max you can earn during a 12-month period is 96 hours. These hours are yours to use. They can cover days you can't work, or you can request them to be redeemed anytime. The balance will reset on your hire anniversary date.  Any unused hours will be paid on your annual anniversary.

Holidays, OT, and Weekends

  • We pay $4 extra per hour for weekend shifts.

  • We pay caregivers $1 per mile while billing clients $.65.

  • OT is 1.5X for any hours over 40 hours.  NOTE: We are on a crusade to limit OT.  Finances just don't allow a business like ours to have too many OT hours.

  • Weekends: We currently pay $4 per hour extra for weekends. We also charge the client $4 extra. So we're losing money on the weekend differential. We may need to raise weekend rates for clients or lower weekend differentials.
